say Goodbye to Spider Veins fom nouveau health!
Did you know…
The gold standard for treating spider veins is sclerotherapy. A sclerosing solution is injected into the vein, which causes the vein to collapse. The inadequate circulation to the vein is shut down and it is gradually absorbed by the body (similar to a bruise disappearing). There are several new sclerosants that are very effective and safe. It is very important to treat the feeder veins which are causing the spider veins. If the source is not treated, the veins will return. This is one of the reasons external lasers or transdermal lasers are not the most effective forms of treatment. Lasers are not as precise as injections into the veins, run the risk of scaring the area and cannot destroy the source of the spider veins. The average patient should anticipate 3-5 treatments.

Almost half the adult female population and a large percentage of men are afflicted with spider veins – small, unsightly clusters of red, blue or purple veins that lie close to the surface of the skin. They can be caused by prolonged standing or sitting, hereditary, pregnancy, or hormone changes. Without treatment, leg veins may enlarge and worsen over time causing pain, swelling and discomfort. Sclerotherapy is one of the most prevalent and effective treatments for spider veins and blue/purple colored veins.
A small amount of a sclerosing solution is injected using a micro needle, replacing the blood in the vein, which causes them to shrink and eventually disappear.
